Eric and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary in Vegas!

Went to a great show, “O”

Went out to dinner with great friends, wish they lived closer!

We ate at our favorite place, Joe’s Seafood

Went out to the dunes and got a little crazy!

Should have saved our money on this excursion but still had a great time

Had an awesome massage

And even got in a little shopping.

Couldn’t have wished for a better weekend.

Breaking Dawn

So whenever I tell people I’m throwing a Breaking Dawn party they always kind of look at me a little weird. I’m not a crazy Twilight fan, but I do love parties and I Have read all the books and I did Love them. The movies not as much but I do love the books!

Decided to do a wedding theme and it turned out perfect!

We had tons of flowers and luckily for me Megan took a floral arranging class at BYU!

It was so fun planning this party.

This month has been a crazy month! We did so much fun stuff for Halloween.

Get ready for a ton of pictures!

We wore our costume almost everyday! Emery was feeling a little let out so she put on Maddix's sweatshirt and wore that around, she is such a copy cat!

We went to Hee Haw's! Maddix had a blast here.

He loved the slide and love the animal train!

Emery was not so sure about the slide.

Went to Thanksgiving point and to the dinosaur museum with Nana

And to Cornbellys and got our face painted!

Had a fun time at a super cool Halloween party.

Went and picked out pumpkins

Emery was not too excited about her costume but once she got outside she forgot all about it and have so much fun eating loads and loads of candy!

Taylor Swift

Getting Moved to almost the front row and seeing the joy and excitement that was on my nieces faces: PRICELESS

Awhile back we got tickets to go to the Taylor Swift concert. I didn't pay much attention to where our seats were, so when we got there I was a little disappointed that we were 3 rows from the very top of the Energy Solutions Arena. But my nieces were so excited that it didn't really matter...until my sister got us almost front row tickets! She happened to come across someone that worked at the Arena that was giving away front row seats! We got 10 seats for all of us to move down to the front. By far one of the best concerts I have ever been to, Taylor put on an amazing show!

Lake Powell

For Eric's Year End Region trip we headed to Lake Powell.

We had a great time, thanks everyone for coming!

We slept in that tent, I haven't slept in a tent for probably 10 years! It was so much fun and if we go again I will definitely do that again!

Kangaroo Zoo

For Maddix and Cohen's 3rd Birthday Party we went to Kangaroo Zoo! They both love this place so much. It was a ton of fun and I think all the kids loved it! Thank you to everyone who came, we have great friends and Family!

One year ago today little Miss Emery Lane came into our lives.

Emery Milestones this month:

31 inches

20 pounds 12 ounces (50%)

Head Circum: 46 cm (75%)

You started walking about 2 weeks before you turned 1. It was gradual at first and then about a week before your birthday you were walking everywhere! We love that you are walking. You were into everything before so this didn't change much.

You got your top 2 molars. They didn't seem to hurt nearly as bad as your bottom ones but you were still pretty fussy. You now have 12 teeth.

You said your first real word, "Balloon" Maddix got balloons for his birthday and you are obsessed! You wake up in the morning and literally the first thing you say is balloon and then want to play with one the rest of the day.

You also say: Momma, Dada, up, uh-oh, balloon.

You mimic what a dog says all the time. Aunt Coley came down with her new puppy and you were in Love! You followed her around all day and loved to play with her.

Emery loves:

Her Silky and Binky, so obsessed!

Maddix, she follows him around all day long and loves to fight over everything with him!

Balloons!

The bath. As soon as she hears the water turn on she hurries as fast as she can to get there.

Food. She is such a good eater. Loves watermelon, grapes, blueberries, cereal, cheese, asparagus, squash, pretty much everything!

To Play peek a boo!

Sing songs, loves when she is upset and I sing, it calms her down.

To be crazy! This girl is into everything and is all over the place. She doesn't stay still for 1 minute and is a climber!

Her dolls, balls, stroller, and her rocking horse!

To Dance. Whenever she hears music come on she starts to dance.

Animals. She is a little scared of the noises they make but loves to look at them.

Emery Hates:

Sharing! She is so not good at this.

Being left alone. If she leaves the room it's ok, but if you leave her she loses it!

When she is done eating she starts throwing her food everywhere!

I cannot believe that I have a 3 year old.

We had a great day today and Maddix loved every minute of turning "Fwee!"

I seriously remember it like it was yesterday. How could this little boy grow up so fast.

Maddix you are seriously one of the cutest, funniest, smartest kids I know. You make me laugh constantly and I love that you are such a sweet boy. You are so tender hearted. I love the way you run, smile, the gap in your teeth, that you still sleep with your binky and silky, that up until tonight you have slept in a crib and that you still cuddle and love to give me hugs and kisses.

You love all kinds of cars and are obsessed with airplanes. You love anything that moves and you love to dance. Anytime music comes on you start shaking your booty and mom and dad have to dance too.

You are such a good big brother. Emery loves you so much and you love her too. You love to play with her and share your toys with her. I can't wait till she gets a little older and you too can play even more together.

You love going to school and love to learn new things. You know all your colors, can count to ten and know most of your ABC's...you get a little mixed up with LMNOP.

You can ride a bike with no training wheels. We are still practicing starting and stopping but you can ride for quite a long time.

We went miniature golfing today with Cohen, Zander, Uncle Dustin and Aunt Lisa.

This is your new Jeep. You love driving it and Emery loves to be the hot babe in the front seat!

Preschool

Maddix went to his first day of preschool this week.

He did so well and was so excited! He asks me everyday if he can go to school. I love when he comes home and tells me what he learned about.

He came home and acted like he owned the place!

We tried to go to the Lindon Pool yesterday. We got all ready, drove there and it was Closed! Maddix was so sad. So we came home and had our own "Pool Party!"

Eleven Months

It has been a good and at times painful month for you!

You got 4 new teeth this month. 2 on the bottom and your 1 yr molars broke through as well. Most of the time you were not a happy girl, well unless mom was holding you.

Milestones this month:

You have taken a few steps here and there but are generally still pretty scared.

You like to stand on your own.

She can wave hi. She has been trying to do this for a couple weeks but this week she finally figured it out!

Emery Loves:

To be active! She loves to chase Maddix around and be every where he is!

The bath. This is seriously her favorite part of the day. She loves to splash and is the biggest fish! She has no fear of water.

Her binky and silky. These are by far her most prized possessions.

To climb the stairs. Most of the time if I can’t find her this is where she will be.

To be outside. She doesn’t like her walker any more so now she either spider crawls everywhere and wants to push something around. Her newest obsession is baby strollers.

Food. She really is such a good eater. She likes specific things but eats them like they are chocolate!

Her kazoo. It is hilarious to see her blow on that thing and she thinks she is pretty funny too.

To be tickled. She has the best belly laugh.

To be sung to. Her favorite songs are This little Piggy and Popcorn Popping.

To go on walks. She loves being in the stroller and loves to see and point and things when we are outside.

To drink out of her sippy cup.

Otter-pops! Loves them!

Emery Hates:

When she is left alone in a room.

To have her binky and silky taken away when it’s time to eat.

Having a toy taken away from her. Maddix and her are starting to “fight” over toys. She can throw some pretty good tantrums.

Oma and Grandpa come to visit

We were lucky enough to see Oma and Grandpa a couple times in the last couple weeks.Maddix absolutely is in heaven when they come to town.

We went up to Park city again and went on the alpine Slides. I think I like it as much if not more than Maddix does.

We also got to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Mealey as they were driving back from Canada

Tim McGraw Concert

Idaho Falls Trip

We took another trip up to Idaho Falls for a couple days.

We went to the new water park in Rexburg, it was a great one and the kids had a blast!

Emery found her new obsession, baby strollers!

We were able to be there for Dhylan’s birthday, can't believe she's 3!

When Eric came home for a couple days we took Maddix and Emery miniature golfing. He had a blast. His favorite part was putting the ball in the water.

Park City

A couple weeks ago we went up to Park City for a little get away.

Eric was gone traveling so I thought it would be the perfect time to get away. My friend Megan joined me, then the second day and night, Amy, Nichole and Lauren joined us.

We had such a great time. The kids did so well and had such a blast.

We went shopping, ate out, had lots of fun in the hot tubs and went to Park City Resort and went on the Alpine Slides. Maddix absolutely loved it. He asks me all the time if we can go back to Park City.

10 months

This last month flew by! I feel like our routine consists of a nap, playing outside, another nap, more time outside and then bed! With a little bit of eating and crying in between!

Milestones this month:

Emery can go down the stairs! She loves it! For the most part I can leave her unattended and she goes up and down all by herself.
She has 2 more teeth on the bottom, they are just barely breaking through but you can see them.
She eats no more baby food! She usually eats 1 bite and then spits the rest out. She loves big people food.

She can stand by herself. It still makes her a little nervous, but if she isn’t really paying attention she will let go of the furniture and just stand there.
Loves her standing/push walker! She pushes it all around the house.
Can drink out of a straw, most times.
No more swaddle. She was still being swaddled during naps a

nd then just her legs at night but she always gets out of it after about an hour. She is doing pretty well; her naps seem to have been affected a little but not too bad.
No more rocking her to sleep at night and for naps. After her bottle she is so crazy I just lay her down, it is almost like she is telling me to put her down. She is doing so well!
Emery is loving being more mobile. She loves to play outside and thinks she can keep up with the big kids. She chases and tries to run them over in her walker all day!

She has had kind of a rough month. Over the fourth of July she got really sick and it lasted about a week. She got Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease (I know, sogross!) and had sores all over her throat. The doctor said it was extremely painful and even gave her codeine for the pain. During that time she was also getting some teeth. We are finally just now getting better at sleeping through the night again.

Some of her favorite foods: Chicken, corn, beans, grapes, strawberries, pasta, yogurt, and carrots.

Emery Loves:

Binky and silky. I love that these are 2 staples in her life! I know when she is tired because she finds her silky and lays down on it.
Maddix. He is seriously her best bud. She loves to follow him around and play with everything he has. She loves him!
Mommy and daddy. She has been really attached to me this month, I think mainly because she was sick. I seriously can’t be out of site for 1 minute.
Bath time. I turn the water on upstairs and she comes climbing up those stairs so fast and goes straight into the bathroom.
Loves eating! She can’t get enough of people food.
Her standing push walker. Walks around everywhere!
Her baby! It was all of a sudden she found her baby and now she loves it! Gives her kisses and carries her around everywhere.
Music and me singing. I do not have a good voice and Maddix is not afraid to tell me to stop singing but Emery still loves it! She loves pat-a-cake and popcorn.

Emery Hates:

Being left alone. She is now such a fast crawler that she can keep up with me pretty good.
Having her face wiped.

Taking Medicine.

Having her toes painted! Seriously looks like a 2 year old painted her toes because she jerks around so much!

We were able to go to our Cousin Beckham's baby blessing and we also were treated to a visit from Oma, Grandpa and Opa!

Independence Day

We went up to Idaho for the 4^th this year.

It was a great time despite Emery getting so sick.

We went to the parade and then most of the rest of the day was spent trying to soothe Emery. She screamed all day and all night, poor girl.

I love going home to Idaho for this holiday, wish we could have gone to the pool and seen the fireworks but maybe next year!

For my birthday this year Eric surprised me with a quick trip to Laguna Beach!

Stayed at the amazing Montage, it was seriously the most beautiful place.

We rented really nice cars and had a blast driving around in these!

Went to a baseball game, went shopping and laid out at the pool!

Couldn't have asked for a better birthday.

A post dedicated solely to my little man.

You have been loving life this summer. You keep me entertained all day long and are so hilarious!

Here are some things you have been up to!

School-

You have been going to Kids Village for their summer program! You absolutely love it! You have learned about Amazing Animals, The Wild, Wild West, Campfires, S'mores, and the great Outdoors, Proud to be An American, and Under the Sea! Next you will be learning about The Enchanted Kingdom and Shovels, Pails and Grubby Fingernails!

You love being able to see your buddies! I can’t wait for you to go to preschool in the fall!

You are loving playing outside! You play on your blue plasma car and bike everyday! Most days you are the only little boy out there but that doesn’t seem to bother you. If you need some boy time you just go off by yourself or come sit with mom!

You are such a good big brother to Emery. You love playing with her, sharing your toys, giving her things to make her happy and taking care of her. You like to give her her binky, silky and baby. When she cries you always are so concerned.

You are also such a big helper with mom. You love to help me with breakfast, making cookies, cleaning up the yard, watering the plants and doing the laundry.

You miss your daddy so much. This last trip with dad being gone has been really hard for you. Everyday, multiple times a day you cry and ask for your daddy. Whenever you get hurt, sad, scared or for whatever reason you ask for him. When you see other people sad, or on TV, or Emery is crying you say, “It’s ok mommy, he/she just misses their daddy.”

You still have your binky and I am not too sure when I will take that away. Everyone I’ve talked to says that when they took the binky away their child quit napping and I am not ready for that!

You are hilarious Maddix. You are a non-stop talker and most of the time I am the only one who understands what you say.

Kendahl, Payton, Dhylan and Aunt Coley came to visit us in June and we absolutely loved having them here!

We had so much fun!

We played in the sprinklers, went to the pool, and had a great time at the Strawberry Days Carnival!

Nine months

Emery is 9 months old!

I cannot believe it. Time is going so fast!

Milestones this month:

Emery is now such a great crawler. She has mastered it and is everywhere!

Emery is climbing the stairs. She is not very quick or steady yet but she loves it!

Her top 2 middle teeth broke through. For some reason when teeth come in for her it is really painful and she gets really fussy.

She is really starting to like baby food. She loves her fruits, especially banana and berries.

Started sleeping through the night! Most nights she sleeps without even waking up, some nights she still wakes up and cries for a couple minutes but then goes back to sleep! It has been so nice.

Emery grinds her teeth! It drives me crazy! She does it when she is concentrating, when she is frustrating and when she is just being silly.

Emery Loves:

Her silky and binky. As soon as she sees her silky she gets so excited and just rubs it all over her face.

The bath. This is her favorite time of day. Maddix and her play so well together and in the bath it’s their time to splash and tackle each other.

Her mom and dad. Whenever Eric comes home from a trip she is all over him! She loves it when he plays with her and especially loves when he tips her upside down.

Maddix. Every morning we get him out of bed together and as soon as we get close to his door she starts squealing and bouncing! She loves him!

Her walker. She plays in this all day outside! She can chase the older kids around and can get almost anywhere.

Music. She is starting to dance when she hears music.

The stairs. We spend most days on the stairs, she climbs up then I try to encourage her to come back down.

Emery Hates:

To be left alone. She is definitely having some separation anxiety! If she can’t see me she crawls and cries until she finds where I went. I get no privacy!

When Maddix takes toys away from her. She is starting to like certain toys and gets really upset when he takes them away.

We Love you Emery!

I took it away for 1 second and it broke her little heart!

She really is such a sweet girl and has a very strong willed personality. She is changing so much everyday and I love it!

Eight Months

Emery is now 8 months old. I am so in love with this little girl. She is absolutely crazy, but Eric and I wouldn’t want her any other way. She has so much personality and is so spunky!

Milestones this month:

Along with army crawling she can now real crawl. She still prefers to army crawl because she is so much faster but about half the time she is really crawling.

Learned to pull herself to the standing position. She pulls herself up to everything? She is starting to become more stable but is still a little wobbly.

She is also starting to cruise along the furniture.

Emery also learned how to put herself into the sitting position from her tummy.

She is getting 4 more teeth. She has 4 right now that have broken through and her 2 front teeth are almost there and then her k9’s on the top as well. She has been a little fussy while this has been going.

Emery is sleeping so much better! Most of the time she sleeps all night but she still has a few nights where she cries for an hour or two.

Emery is not the best eater. She goes through phases where she eats well for a week or so and then hates it again. She actually really likes fruit but even that is hard to get her to eat.

She loves to imitate noises that we make. She thinks is so funny.

Emery Loves:

To feed herself. She loves puffs and cheddar baby Cheetos. She gets so excited when she sees me pull them out and can’t wait for more when she runs out

Her silky and binky. She really is completely obsessed.

Maddix. She mauls him all day long and he just loves it! She follows him around and wants to be playing with whatever he has.

To be noisy. She is constantly jabbering and screaming. She is starting to say mama, mama, but I’m sure it’s not referring to me

The bath! We have been bathing her in the sink and she loves that she can splash and play with the running water.

Her walker. She loves that she can be mobile and run all over the house. She can maneuver it anywhere and can even go on the carpet.

Emery Hates:

Getting dressed. She still screams whenever something goes over her head.

Being left alone. If I leave the room she crawls so fast to get to wherever I’ve gone.

Taking medicine.

We Love when Eric comes home to visit.

Maddix is especially excited and he loves going to the airport to pick him up, every time he asks if he can go on the plane too.

Eric also took Maddix to play basketball and fishing. By far his favorite thing was fishing! They went twice and he is now obsessed!

Idaho Falls

We took a trip up to Idaho to see “the Girls” Maddix loves them and had a blast playing with them. Aunt Lisa, Cohen and Zander came up too and Nicole and Brady had a full house! We had so much fun and all the little kids loved playing all day and night with each other.

Mother's Day

There is truly no greater joy in my life than being a mother.

It can bring me to tears at any given time when I think about how much I love them and what I wouldn't do for them. I never knew how much I could love someone.

Maddix, I am eternally grateful to be your mother. You make me smile and laugh every single day. You have the cutest little personality. You are such a mommas boy and I love it! The way you talk and how you express yourself makes my heart smile. I love when you wake up from your nap and you want me to cuddle with you and how when I’m putting you to bed and I say I love you then you say “I love you too or I love you more”

Emery, you have blessed my life in more ways than I can count. You are so crazy but so sweet at the same time. If you could talk you would probably say “mom! Please quit kissing me! You’re smothering me!” I can’t help but kiss you and try to cuddle you all day long. I love when I get you out of bed you pull down your bumper so you can see me, like you know I’m coming to get you and you just can’t wait another second to see me!

To my mother and mother in law, I love you both and am truly so grateful for everything you have done for us. Thank you for the example you have always set for me and for the support you continually show our family.

A couple weeks ago I decided I would potty train Maddix, I have been dreading it and figured it would be a difficult task. Day one started out pretty rough, we had 5 accidents before noon. At noon the first day he went in the potty for the first time. He was so excited. Every time he would go after that he was so fascinated with the process. He kept saying “Momma, it comes from that hole!”

Since day 1 Maddix has only had 2 pee accidents and 2 bowel movements where he didn’t make it to the toilet.

I am seriously so proud of him and amazed at how well he has done. He still loves that he is a big boy and gets so excited that he can go by himself!

Way to go Maddix!

Easter

We had a great Easter. We were able to spend the day with Eric before he started his crazy summer and lots of traveling.

We started off by dyeing eggs with Cohen. The boys thought this was so fun.

Emery and Zander had a great time hanging out with each other!

Then we had an Easter Egg hunt at the Jones’. This was Maddix’s first egg hunt and he actually did pretty good, he loved finding the eggs but couldn’t resist opening each one and eating the candy after he would find them.

Then we had church on Sunday then went up to Nana and Papa Rog's for dinner and another egg hunt, this time the boys were pros!

I am so thankful for my savior and for the true meaning of Easter.

Emery at 7 months

7 months

Time is seriously flying by!

Emery got a double ear infection this month along with getting teeth, it was a rough month for her.

We also got her 7 month Skye pictures done and I am completely obsessed! I will do a separate post about this!

We are still working on the sleep training. Some nights she does ok, but for the most part she still is crying 1-3 hours (straight) a night. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she will figure this out soon!

Emery’s milestones this month:

Finally figured out the army crawl, it is crazy how fast she. Unlike Maddix, Emery is into everything! I guess I will need to baby proof my house!

She is getting 2 more teeth, not the top middle ones but the ones next to them. One has broken through but the other one is taking it’s time.

Quit nursing, she hasn’t been that interested in it for about a month and a half but this month she really quit. It was a sad day for me, I really wish I could have nursed her longer. I do have so much milk stored that she gets at least one breast milk bottle a day.

She loves to shake her head no. If she sees me do it and then if I say No, or even sometimes on her own. It is so cute!

Emery Loves:

Her binky and silky. She is now officially obsessed with her silky! If she sees it she has to have it. She will crawl great lengths to get it.

Maddix! Even though he has started to terrorize her she still loves him. She lights up and smiles whenever he is close. In the car they are best buds and maddix constantly is getting her to laugh.

To be mobile/moving. Whether it is in her walker, crawling, jumperoo or in my arms, she is constantly moving!

The bath. Now that she is sitting up without falling over she loves to sit in the bath with Maddix and splash! She loves running water and hates when she has to get out.

Her mommy and daddy. She loves Eric. Whenever he is in the room she is following him, I think she has her daddy wrapped around her finger!

Her toy rattle. It is by far her favorite toy, second would be a spoon and third would probably be anything of Maddix’s, hence the terrorizing!

To talk, yell, scream, babble, laugh…we love that she is so vocal!

Emery Hates:

Eating her baby food, well most of the time. For some reason she is still not that interested in it.

Being left in a room alone. She has a slight case of separation anxiety. If I leave the room she gets a little upset.

She does not like getting dressed or getting out of the tub.

Oh Maddix as I sit here typing this you are driving me crazy, but in a good way! You never. Ever. Ever. Quit talking! Seriously never! Right now you are babbling on about how you didn’t want me to eat that doughnut, and how you want me to fix your car, and pull the trigger back on your gun, turn on your cartoon and get you some chocolate and a sucker! SO which is it? What do you want?!

You are now 2 ½ and I can’t believe by the end of the summer you will be 3! You are still my baby and I don’t want you to grow up!

You are seriously so funny. Here are a few things I want to remember at this age.

The other day there was a truck in front of our house and you wanted it to move so you could drive your car around. So you started pushing with all your might thinking you could move it.When you realized that was going to work you asked me to come help you and then got so mad when I couldn’t move it either.

You have the best memory. You went to this store 1 time with your daddy about 2 months ago.We went there again this week and as soon as we walked in you asked Where’s the doggy? (Apparently the owner keeps a dog in the store with him) and then also asked where the vacuum was and then went directly to the place they stored it.

You are obsessed with cartoons. You love Mickey Mouse, Neverland Pirates, Little Einsteins, and Calliou. You also love Movies, Tangled, Jurassic Park, and Toy Story.

You love to play with Cohen and ask for him daily. You also love to play with all your friends!We can’t wait for summer so we can go outside!

You love to pray and are so cute when you do.

You still are the pickiest, hardest kid to get to eat. We are making progress but it is slow! Tonight you actually ate carrots and I think you liked them...or maybe it was the ranch.

We are starting potty training this week and I am a little nervous! Hopefully it goes smoothly!

We love when family comes to town. We were lucky enough this month to get to see Eric’s parents and also my family.

Maddix loved being able to play with Jaden and Kyler! He asked morning and night to play with them. He also loved getting to spend some time with Oma and Grandpa. Come back soon!

While my family was in town Maddix took full advantage of Papa and Uncle Jackson and made them take him over and over again on his wiggle car!

That's right, she is 6 months old today!

Emery is such a fun little girl. She is developing the sweetest personality and makes me laugh and smile daily.

This month:

Emery has gotten her bottom 2 teeth.

Learned to sit up all by herself.

Walk all over the place in her walker.

Talks and babbles non stop!

Emery is still not a great sleeper. She is usually up most nights for 2-4 hours crying and then sleeps for a couple and then is up again! We are working on this and hopefully she will get the hang of it soon!

Emery has started eating solids (rice cereal and vegetables). She still isn't so sure about them but she loves carrots!

Emery Loves Maddix. She follows him around all day. Whenever he gets close her little eyes light up and she smiles and tries so hard to grab him. Maddix is loving her too.

We have gone swimming a couple times and she really likes the water, I can't wait for summer!

Emery Loves:

Her binky and silky. She is really getting attached to her silky. She loves to suck on it, and has to have it near her almost all day. She loves to sleep with it and rubs it across her face when she is falling asleep.

To sit and play with toys. She loves her walker, jumperoo, and loves to just sit and hold things and of course everything goes in her mouth.

To laugh. She is obsessed with peek a boo right now. She laughs uncontrollably whenever I put anything in front of my face and then say peek a boo!

To talk and babble. She is so vocal and at times Maddix feels like he can't compete and that's when he tells her to "Be Quiet Emery!"

Her mommy and daddy. She is a little obsessed with daddy right now. Whenever he is in the room she follows him like a hawk, but whenever mommy leaves the room she cries!

The bath. Her and Maddix have been bathing together and she loves it! She splashes and talks the entire time.

Emery Hates:

Getting dressed. Which is too bad cause I love changing her outfits!

Being left alone, she hates when she is alone in a room.

If I'm holding her and I sit down, how do babies know this?!

Five Months

5 months has flown by!

Emery is developing such a fun little personality.

She is so smiley. She can't help it. Whenever someone even glances her way she gets all squirmy and can't help but smile or laugh.

She is finally liking her car seat. It makes it so much easier to go places now that she doesn't scream the whole time. She loves to play with toys while she is in there and can even look out and see Maddix.

We started sleep training her about a week and a half ago. It was pretty hard for me to allow this to happen, I was crying before I even laid her down to sleep. Eric was AMAZING and stayed out in the living room on the couch in a sleeping bag the first 4 nights. Emery has done pretty well. She usually goes about 8 hours and then I feed her and then she goes back to sleep. We still have a few nights where that is not the case, but compared to Maddix she is doing phenomenal! I just hope that she figures it out and starts sleeping completely through the night soon!

Emery also had her first taste of rice cereal a couple days ago. She is still pretty unsure about it but tries really hard to swallow it. It will be so nice when she starts eating cereal, vegetables and fruits! I love feeding babies food!

She is such a busy body. She has been rolling over for about a month and a half but just this last week she really figured it out and can't keep her still. She is constantly rolling from her back to stomach and stomach to back, over and over.

Emery Loves:

To have anything and everything in her mouth! Toes, toys, fingers, binky, everything!

To follow Maddix, Daddy and Mommy around. She can't keep her eyes off of Maddix and Eric.

To sit in her bumbo and bouncer and is learning how to use the walker. She can push it backwards and moves around the house.

Her silky and binky. I love that she loves those. When she gets tired all I have to do is put the silky up to her face and it usually calms her down.

To be tickled. She loves to laugh and it is so easy to get her going.

To be sung to. She loves patty cake and Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Emery Hates:

Getting dressed. Seriously still screams whenever something goes over her head.

Being left alone. I can't really leave the room without her noticing and then getting really upset. She has to be pretty distracted to not notice that I'm gone.

When she is tired and I try to make her stay up, even for 5 minutes. When she is tired, she rubs her eyes like crazy and usually doesn't stop until she is swaddled and can't reach them anymore.

Her 1st taste of Rice Cereal,

I think she thought we were poisoning her!

Day 3, still not so sure.

Can't keep much of it in her mouth.

1st is Emery, then Maddix.

People are constantly saying they look exactly alike.

Idaho Falls

Last week Maddix, Emery and I took a trip up to Idaho to see my family.

My sister has just moved into her new beautiful home so we thought what better way to break it in then to pay them a visit!

We had such a great time up there. It was so fun to see Nicole’s house and Maddix was in heaven playing with the girls all day long.

I don’t think Emery has ever gotten as much attention as she did from Dhylan. Dhylan was her little mommy. She informed me on many occasions that she nor their dog could feed Emery because they didn’t have boobies and was so worried that Emery was hurting me because she was biting mine!

Dhylan is such a sweet girl and I love knowing that her and Emery will probably be great friends!

All the girls kept Maddix very entertained and he LOVES them! Thanks Kendahl and Payton for giving up your rooms!

Maddix loves playing dress up in all the girls stuff!

Maddix also loved getting to play with his Papa and Nana every day.

I didn’t get any pictures of my sisters new house but once she sends me some I will post some. Her house is so amazing and it totally makes me want to build again and copy so many things that she did!

Four Months

Emery Lane is 4 months!

Time is flying by. I love each stage but so miss her as a newborn already!

She is loving being more independent lately. She loves to play on her own, well as long as I am within sight and touch!

She is such a funny girl. She definitely knows what she wants and is not happy until she gets it.Whether it’s the position she is held, when she wants to eat, sleep, poop, change positions, be held, be put down, she is crazy!

She can now roll over from front to back and back to front! She is still trying to perfect this skill but has done it several times. She also moves around in circles if you lay her on her back.

She puts everything in her mouth and loves it! She loves to grasp for toys and has a tight grip!

She is a pretty good sleeper. She has a terrible cold right now and so she hasn’t been sleeping very well but most nights she sleeps from 8-2 or3 and then back to sleep till 5 or 6 then up around 7:30 or 8. Takes 2 really good naps 10-12 and then 2-4 then a cat nap around 5:30 for a half an hour or so.

She is mostly such a happy girl. She loves to smile and laugh and is constantly squealing and cooing and babbling.

She loves to blow bubbles or give raspberries.

We love this little girl and can’t wait for the next month to see how much she has changed!

Emery Loves:

Silky and binky. She loves to pull her binky out and then try to put it back in. She is getting pretty good at it.

Loves her bath. She is so content while she is in there. Her and Maddix have been taking baths together and he loves to help.

Loves to be held and bounced. She is doing so well holding up her head and is looking so big when I hold her.

Loves to watch us eat. I hope she is a good eater!

Loves to watch lights/TV. When I put Maddix down for a nap I set her in front of the TV and she is so happy and content.

Loves to laugh and giggle. She is so bashful and can’t stand it when someone looks at her and smiles.

Emery Hates:

Being sick! That is the worst. She can’t breathe or sleep because she has the worst cough and stuffy nose. I hate winter especially for this reason.

Being left alone too long. She likes to make sure she can see us.

To get out of the tub and especially hates getting dressed.

The car seat. This is so hard, I hate going anywhere cause all she does is scream the entire time.Maddix did this too until about 5 months.

Maddix you're Hilarious

I seriously love this boy!

He makes me laugh multiple times each day.

Whether it’s the way he talks (Yeas…he has a little lisp)

Or when he repeats something I don’t necessarily want repeated.

He is a crack up!

He loves Toy Story and anything that goes along with it.

He is such a picky eater but loves crisp bean burritos (A favorite of mine!)

He has a tender heart. His feelings are easily hurt but you can easily make it up to him with a smile.

He can’t help himself, he loves to smile and laugh, has since he was a baby.

He is a little bossy. Likes to tell me to sit, go, lay down, don’t do that.

He is contagiously so freaking cute! I just want to kiss him every minute!

He is a great big brother and loves to help me with Emery.

He loves his trains and we still plays daily with his train set.

He has a weird obsession with his tongue! He likes to lick things, clothes, shoes, feet, chairs, the floor, pretty much everything.

He loves his mommy and daddy and I hope that never changes.

I love him more than I can handle sometimes.

He is my favorite little boy!

For Eric’s 30^th birthday I got him tickets to a Chargers football game.

We decided it would be fun to go to a different stadium and see them play the Broncos! That is my brother Dustin and his wife Lisa’s favorite team, so they came too!

It was super cold, but we had a great time!

Christmas in Cali 2010

This year we went to California for Christmas! We love going there to visit Eric’s family. I always have such a great time there. Eric has the best family and they have the funnest traditions!

Maddix didn’t really get “Christmas” this year. He didn’t get the whole Santa thing, he knows who he is but not that if he is good he will get presents!

His favorite present by far this year was Buzz Lightyear! He flew him around all day and played nonstop with him.

Emery got a bouncer and she is loving it!

We played with our cousins, took some pictures, played frisbee golf and ate lots and lots of really yummy food!

Jaden was such a good cousin and played with Emery!

We went and drove go-karts. It was fun!

We also went to the Sacramento Train Museum. Maddix was in Heaven! He loved the big trains and the little ones too!

Emery at 3 months

Emery is getting so big!

Her hair is finally starting to grow back in and it is fuzzy all over! She is so much fun and is getting the cutest little personality. She has a ton of spunk and I am sure this is what we can expect from her.

She knows what she wants and is still a little high maitenence but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

She is still a great eater. And we love that she takes a bottle!

She does so well playing by herself. She loves to lay under her playmat and watch the lights. She also loves to stand. I cannot get this girl to sit. Emery also likes to roll over… has been for a couple weeks (from tummy to back) She loves her tummy time. Let’s just say she is an active baby!

She is a pretty good sleeper. She sleeps most nights at least 3-4 hours and is just recently starting to go 5-6 hours. She takes naps pretty well and does good on her own, without a swing (something Maddix never did.)

Emery loves:

To laugh. She has the cutest little chuckle and is for the most part pretty happy.

Her silky and binky. When she gets tired she pulls her silky up over her face. I love it!

Loves to watch lights and music. Either the TV or her play toys that have lights.

She loves to be held and talked to. She is constantly wanting to change positions, if she starts to get fussy I just turn her around and that usually makes her happy.

Emery Loves Maddix! She smiles at him all the time and follows him around. He is really starting to pay attention to her and loves to take care of her.

Loves her baths! She loves, loves them!

Loves to coo and talk. She is making the funniest noises and almost tries to imitate you when you talk (make noises) to her.

Loves her Mommy and Daddy!

Emery Hates:

Getting out of the bath. This makes her so mad.

Getting dressed (maybe that’s why she hates the bath, she knows whats coming next!)

To be ignored, she loves to be the center of any ones attention, especially mommy!

Her car seat. Most of the time she screams the whole time she is in it. Sometimes she will settle down but this doesn’t happen very often.

This is our 4th year that we have gone to Maui in December with Apx.

It was such a blast!

We decided to leave Maddix behind with Nicole, Brady and the girls. He was in heaven playing with the girls.

We had a great time in Hawaii.

We enjoyed the beautiful sun, the pool, Eric played a ton of volleyball, went boogie boarding, snorkeling, to Warren and Annabelle’s magic show, and hanging with great friends!

A HUGE thank you to my fantastic mom and Aunt who came and helped with Emery. I know this wasn’t exactly a vacation for you but it made our vacation a whole lot more enjoyable!

And to Nicole. Thank you so much for taking care of my little boy! He had such a blast with you and the girls. I know it was a crazy week for you and I appreciate you more than you know!

White Christmas!

This was such a fun party.

At the beginning of December Ty and Staci threw the best White Christmas party!

Everyone came dressed in white and we had a hilarious white elephant gift exchange.

Eric decided that he was going to make this gingerbread house replica of Ty and Staci’s house.It turned out so awesome!

Yes it was made to scale...he went and took pictures of their house and then made a cut out replica in cardboard.

This week has been extremely rough...

I have cried multiple times each day, sometimes the crying has lead to sobbing.

I don't know why it is so much harder this year for me.

He is going up to Idaho to spend 10 days with my sister, brother in law and the girls while Eric, Emery and I are in Hawaii.

He is going to be in Heaven!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year.

We didn't think Nicole, Brady and the girls would be able to make it but luckily the weather let up and they were able to come down! I am so glad. Too bad Jackson didn't make it, but we are looking forward to seeing him at Christmas!

We had a breakfast with my dad and Stella before they left to Grand Cayman, it was delicious!

Then we had dinner up at my moms. I absolutely love Thanksgiving dinner!

I could have it every week!

The day after Thanksgiving we headed up to Aspen Grove, by Sundance and stayed there for the night. It was so much fun. We played games, chased kids, ate lots of good food, and went sledding! I think this will be a new tradition!

2 Months Old

Did I seriously just type that?

I can't believe Emery is 2 months already, time is flying by!

We had her 2 month check up today and she is doing so well

11 lbs 3 oz 75%

She also got 3 shots today...I always have to Eric come at least to this first appointment cause it almost makes me more upset than it does the baby. She cried so hard and took it like a champ!

Emery has been such a fun and often times challenging baby!

She is very high maintenance, she is seldom content just hanging out.

We spend a lot of our time, bouncing, rocking, swaying, swinging, and trying to figure out what new thing we can do that will soothe her.

At the same time she has many days where she is as happy as can be! She loves to smile and coo.

It is amazing to me how much she already loves Maddix. If he is in the room and is actually paying attention to her, she smiles, coos, and follows him around (with her head) everywhere!

She sleeps ok most of the time. She seldom sleeps with me (breaks my heart a little) andusually sleeps pretty good in her own bed.

She loves, loves to eat! She actually takes bottles which is a great thing!

She really is such a sweet baby and we love her more and more each day.

Emery Loves:

Her binky! She can such on that thing so hard it leaves an indent on her face

Her bouncy chair, loves that it vibrates and loves that it gives mommy's legs a workout!

To eat and sleep! She still pretty much does this all day long.

Maddix, call me crazy but I'm sure they were best buds before coming to our family.

To look at the TV or lights

To smile and coo. She is so easily entertained

Her bath, she can spend forever in there and is always so happy.

Emery Hates:

To be put down. I hope that this goes away and that she ends up liking to be on her own a little more

When she isn't done eating or when she needs to take a break, she loses her mind until she is eating again!

To have her nose wiped, she had cold and having her nose wiped was the worst.

Crazy little boy

Oh how I love this little boy!

He is so much fun and is developing such a personality!

We watched Toy Story 3 for the first time the other day and now he is obsessed.

With me not feeling so hot we have watched it everyday at least 3 times a day!

One morning he came down with these boots on. Now almost everyday we wear those boots with some outfit...this day it was just a diaper!

Worse than Labor?

So after a fabulous night spent with Eric for our anniversary our night turned from great to terrible!

My side had been aching for a couple days but nothing too bad. After we picked up Maddix and Emery from my moms we came home and I went straight to bed. I felt like the pain in my side was getting worse and at this point was making me a little nauseated.

After sleeping for about 45 minutes I woke up and ran straight to the bathroom, where I spent the next 2 hours throwing up. I reluctantly woke up Eric and told him what was going on. After much persuasion from him we headed to the ER to see what was going on.

I continued to throw up and they gave me some pain meds, the first dose didn't do much but after the second stronger dose I fell right to sleep. They came and woke me up and took me in to do a CT of my abdomen.

After being in the ER for about 5 hours they found that I had a ton of kidney stones. Normal kidney stones measure 2-3mm, I had a couple that were that size, 2 that were 5mm and then one that was 9mm! The one that was 9 had started to move from my kidney down the urethra and that is what was causing so much pain!

They sent me home with some pain meds and told me to see a urologist on Monday.

On Monday the urologist scheduled me for surgery on Wednesday to break up the stones and push the 9mm one back up into my kidney so I could pass it.

Needless to say the last week and a half has been miserable! I will honestly say that compared to labor it was not as bad but the fact that it lasted 9 days rather than a couple hours was excruciating!

I never want Kidney stones again!!

6 Years

On November 12 Eric and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary!

Saturday the 13th we dropped the kids off at my mom and Roger's and went out for the evening.

We went to a movie, went to dinner and then had a fabulous massage at The Sanctuary!

We really did have such a great time, and a huge Thanks to my Mom and Roger for watching Maddix and Emery!

I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing man, who loves me and loves our kids!

Thanks babe for making these the best 6 years of my life!

Emery's Blessing Day

We started Halloween off this week by carving pumpkins.

Maddix would not wear any costumes so we decided that he would just wear his skeleton pj's and call it good. He looked so cute and so little in his pj's! Emery was a little Cheetah and was so warm and cuddly!

We tried to do a little trick or treating but it ended up pouring rain on us so we only lasted a few minutes at our ward trunk or treat.

Maddix wasn't so sure about it at first but as soon as he realized people were giving him candy he was all for it!

We then had a couple halloween parties. Eric won scariest costume at one and came in 3rd place for best overall at another. My costume was completely lame and came together 5 minutes before our first party! I promise next year I will come up with a killer costume!

Maddix was not scared of Eric at all, he thought he was funny.

One Month Old

Well I can't believe she has been with us for over a month now.

Emery is such a sweet baby and we love her so much.

I am still trying to adjust to having 2 kids but it isn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be.

At her 2 week appt she weighed 7 lbs 6 oz 50%, 20 1/4 inches 75%, Head 36.4 cm 75%

She was great and has been gaining weight like crazy! She loves to eat and eats a lot!

She has been sleeping really well at night and even in her own bed!

We have had a lot of visitors this month. My mom was here when she was born and stayed for just over a week. Then Eric's mom, Shenna, came for a week as well. It was so amazing having both of them here! Not only so they could get to meet Emery and spend time with her but for Maddix, he loved having them here. He still asks for Nana and Oma almost everyday!

Thank you to both of them for all the help and sacrifices they made to came and help!

Papa, Aunt Coley, and Uncle Jackson also came from out of town to visit too!

9 days after Emery was born her cousin, Zander, decided he couldn't wait any longer and came 3 weeks early! We are so excited that they will be so close!

She spits up a lot and also projectile vomits a lot. Yesterday we went to the dr to get it checked out. They decided that she needed to get an ultrasound done on her stomach to see what was going on. The doctors thought she may have pyloric stenosis (narrowing of the pylorus, opening from stomach to small intestine) which was causing her to throw up. Luckily she doesn't have this, they think she probably has acid reflux, so now we are on a medication to help with this. At her appt yesterday she weighed 9 lbs 6 oz. She is getting so chubby!

She goes from content to starving in a matter of seconds.

She looks exactly like Maddix as a baby.

She has 2 stork bites, one on her forehead and the other above her lip.

She already has her dad and mom wrapped around her little finger.

Emery loves:

To be swaddled. If she's not eating then she wants to be swaddled and asleep.

She likes her binky. Doesn't like to sleep with it at night but during the day she likes it.

Loves to be held! I love love holding her, she is so sweet and loves to cuddle.

Loves it when she is talked to.

Her daddy, brother, and mommy.

Emery hates:

To be put down for too long. If she is not eating or asleep she would rather be held!

Hates her hair bows, they always end up over her eyes.

Maddix has been so amazing with Emery.

He loves to help out when she is crying and loves to just sit by her and pat her stomach or head.

I knew I loved Maddix but seeing him be so sweet with Emery makes me love him even more.

Pumpkin Land

Last week we took Maddix to Pumpkin Land in Orem. They have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, lots of animals, and other fun things to do!

Maddix had a great time running through the corn maze and especially loved all the bunnies!

Emery's Birth Story

Well I am finally posting...

These last 2 weeks have been so fun and yet I am so tired!

I'll start off with Emery's birth.

Thursday September 23rd I went into the dr to have my regular appointment. While I was there I asked if I could get my membranes stripped. The Midwife agreed and then proceeded to do one of the most uncomfortable things! It was painful, but I can say it wasn't nearly as painful as labor!

Then I went home and decided that if this little girl was coming today I was going to be ready! So I cleaned my house, did a few loads of laundry and made sure the dishes were done. By about 3 pm I was having a few mild contractions but nothing too bad. I called my mom, sister and dad and told them that this was not likely going anywhere and that we probably wouldn't have a baby today.

By 5 pm the contractions were still pretty consistent, about 10-12 minutes apart, but not very painful or strong. I talked with my family in Idaho again and told them I would keep them posted. My mom was so sure that she was coming today that she said that she was on her way down to Utah after work.

At 6:30 Eric, Maddix, and I went out to dinner. I was still having contractions but still not too painful.

We got home from dinner around 7 and Eric started to put Maddix to bed, by 7:30 I felt like the contractions were finally progressing and so my sister and dad were told that they should probably be on there way, just in case.

After Eric put Maddix to bed at 8, the contractions became even more painful. I called my Aunt Karie, who lives in Saratoga Springs and she quickly got to my house.

By 9pm I was in a lot of pain and we headed to the hospital.

Got checked in at 9:15 and was dilated to a 7. Then I had to wait over an hour to get my epidural, worst hour of my life! By the time I got my epidural (10:47 pm) I was dilated to an 8. A few minutes after I got it life was good!

They immediately broke my water and then 15 minutes later my midwife came to check me and said that her head was crowing and it was time to push! Eric had run to the vending machine to grab a snack (poor guy almost passed out during my epidural!)

At 11:10 I started to push and about 4 pushes later our little girl was here!

I can't believe how quickly she came!

She had the cord wrapped around her neck and had swallowed a ton of fluid but besides that she was perfect!

These past two weeks have been amazing.

Maddix has done so much better than I thought he would. He doesn't really want to hold her, but doesn't mind when I do, and sometimes even goes up and talks to her, holds her hands and kisses her head.

He is such a good big brother!

Emery is such a good baby. Loves to eat and sleep!

Eric and I both think she looks exactly like Maddix, just in pink clothes and with bows in her hair!

We love you Emery!

I still feel pretty good and am trying to enjoy the little time that I have left to spend alone with my little boy.

We are hoping she makes her appearance sometime this weekend!

Baby Girl

Obviously we still have not decided on a name

This past week has been a crazy one!

Maddix got the flu this last weekend and I figured it was only a matter of time before I got it too! Well Monday night it hit! I was up all night, throwing up every 15-20 minutes. Being this far along pregnant and throwing up was definitely the worst! My huge ol’ belly barely let me get close enough to the toilet!

Anyway, the throwing up caused my stomach to obviously contract, which led to some heavy bleeding.

I went into the Dr the next morning just to make sure everything was fine, I was still bleeding but not as much as during the night. They checked the baby’s heartbeat, it was good. Checked me, I was dilated to a 2 ½ and my cervix is very “ripe and ready.” The midwife still wanted to make sure everything was ok so she had me do an ultrasound. I LOVE that I have been able to have so many ultrasounds this pregnancy (considering the circumstances J) Baby girl looked great, was moving great and was measuring almost on track, a little small. They estimated that she weighs about 6 lbs 11 oz.

This is a picture of her lips, nose and cheeks. Looks like she is going to have some big cheeks like Maddix!

They sent me home and told me that this little girl is ready to come and as soon as I start to have some more consistent contractions that my body is ready!

Later that night I received a call from the Dr’s office informing me that the Dr who reviewed my ultrasound wanted me to go into the hospital for further testing. They were concerned that I may have a placental abruption. This scared me to death! I went into Timpanogos hospital and they put me on the Fetal heart monitors. I stayed there for about 3 ½ hours, they ran some blood tests and determined that everything was fine. They want me to go into the office every week and do a Non Stress Test just to watch the baby and make sure everything continues to progress normally.

I am SO ready for this little girl to get here and to not be worrying everyday. She is moving like crazy everyday and I am finally nesting!

I’ll be 37 weeks tomorrow so anytime she wants to come I will be ready to go to the hospital!

It's my Party

This past weekend we had a birthday party for Maddix and Cohen.

The theme was “Two Totally Tubular Two Year Olds!”

We started the day off with breakfast at Magleby's Fresh, it was delicious.

By the time we got to the party Maddix was just acting a little “off.”

We had a great time at the party and thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us! The boys are so lucky to have great family and friends!

Eric and I gave Maddix this train table and it is by far the best investment we have ever made!He was in heaven and still plays with it all day, everyday since he got it!

Eric had another awesome picture done for Maddix.

I love it!

Now I just need him to hang it in his room so it doesn’t just sit around!

By the end of the night Maddix was just not happy. By 9 pm that night we figured out why…

He got the flu and was throwing up the rest of the night and all through the morning.

Poor guy. The rest of the weekend and his birthday were no fun!

Needless to say we hope the rest of the year turns out better than his birthday!

He had his 2 year check up this week and is doing great!

He hadn’t really eaten in about 3 days, so he may actually weigh a little more

We are so lucky to be your parents and you seriously make us laugh each and every day.

Babymoon

This week Eric and I decided we were going to take a "Babymoon" before this little girl arrives. We left Maddix with Lisa and Cohen and headed up to Salt Lake City for the night.

We ate dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, it was delicious.

Went to the movie The Switch, could have skipped that.

Stayed the night at the Grand America, so nice

Had massages the next morning, they were amazing!

And then ordered room service and came back home.

We had such a great time spending some one on one time before this new little one arrives!

Thanks so much to Lisa who watched Maddix for us and dealt with his screaming and refusal to go to bed!

34 weeks

I can't believe I am 34 weeks!

This little girl could be here in a month.

Still no name, but we are getting close!

Updates...

I no longer have Placenta Previa! This is such a relief! I was a little excited to be able to have a date that I knew she would be here but so much more relieved that I don't have to worry about this.

I am excited about having her at Timp Hospital. I've been there now and have had many people tell me that they loved their experience.

Last night I washed all her clothes and was giddy the whole time! I still can't believe we are having another baby, let alone a girl, in about 6 weeks, hopefully less!

10 Years

This past weekend was my 10 year high school reunion.

I can't believe how much my life has changed in 10 years!

It was fun to go back and see so many people that I hadn't seen since high school.

I must admit it was a little crazy being back there and 8 months pregnant!

Bear Lake Family Reunion

Last week we went up to Bear Lake for the Webster Family reunion, my mom's side of the family.

This is only my second time going to Bear Lake and I love it!

I love the small town, the raspberry milkshakes, the water, the beach and the time we all get to spend together with family.

Eric was even able to come up for a day so that made the trip even better!

Can't wait to go back!

Maddix was obsessed with the boat! He loved it. Everyday he wanted to go back out on it. He would laugh and smile the whole time.

He was in heaven with all the sand!

You know how when you have something planned in your head and it doesn't go that way? Well I'm there!

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment and ultrasound for Baby girl...

Good News: Her Kidneys look great!

Bad News: I still have placenta previa...will be doing another ultrasound in 2 weeks

Crazy/unsure News: I may have gestational diabetes! WHAT THE?!

UPDATE: I DON"T HAVE GESTATIONAL DIABETES! :)

Change of Plans: I now have to deliver at Timpanogos Hospital, I was planning on delivering at AF, which is where I delivered Maddix.

So I need some opinions!

For those of you that have had C-Sections, please tell me your honest opinion. Maddix's delivery was so easy that I am not looking forward to a possible C-Section but it might just be that way...

Also if you delivered at Timp Hospital tell me what you thought of it...I decided I will be doing a walk through of the hospital sometime in the next month

BE HONEST, the good, the bad, whatever, just need some advice/thoughts...like I said, I'm Freaking out!

Bridal Veil Falls

While Eric was in town for the 4th we took Maddix on a hike, well pretty much a walk to Bridal Veil falls in Provo Canyon.

Going off roading in his stroller....and loving it!

Maddix had such a great time climbing the waterfall with daddy and throwing in rocks.

The day didn't end so well...

Maddix hit his face on a toy at the park and got the worst bloody nose ever.

Poor baby.

3 crazy days of the 4th of July

This was the first year I have ever been in Utah for the 4th.

We had a great weekend filled with so much stuff!

We started it off on Saturday with a trip to the Lindon pool, we had such a great time. Eric took Maddix down the big slide and he absolutely loved it.

Later that day everyone came over for a BBQ and then it was off to the stadium. Eric and I had to make a stop on the way down there and when we were on our way from there Eric's dad called and said that it might not be worth it for us to drive all the way down there and fight the crowds...it took them over an hour to get to the spot where we were sitting. Eric and I decided that it was probably best to just get Maddix to bed at a decent time so we missed the big show. I was so sad to not see fireworks...

Sunday we had a nice day at church and then had all the fam over for Eric's Salmon, which everyone loves!

Then we lit off some fireworks of our own and all the boys loved them!

Monday was the parade and I was so excited to take Maddix to that. He loves big trucks, loud noises and people! He LOVED IT! He was so excited the whole time.

He seriously made this face almost the whole time!

All in all it was a great weekend and we are so glad that we were able to spend it with the Allebes/Mealey Family!

Eclipse

On July 1st we had an Eclipse party at my house and then we all went and saw the movie...

Kendahl and Payton helping get things ready for the dinner...they were so excited to help!

First we played a trivia game, I admit it was a little hard :)

And then we played the "Newborn Vampire" game.

26 weeks

Well I am now into my 3^rd trimester! This pregnancy has been flying by. I have been feeling great and love my big belly and that this baby moves like crazy ALL DAY LONG!

Maddix loves to point to my belly and say “Baby” and also to give it kisses. He is a little jealous if I touch another child/baby, but I really think he is going to be such a great big brother.

I had a dr’s appt yesterday and everything is looking good. I am measuring right on and gaining lots of weight! I am excited that in another month I get to have another ultrasound and see this little girl again!

Now we just need to figure out what we are going to name her!

June has been a super crazy month…

The weather has finally been nice so we have been spending a ton of time outside!

We traveled with Eric for a couple weeks, had our cousins come and visit and had lots of fun with all the neighbors!

Maddix and I had were lucky enough to get to go and travel with Eric for a couple weeks.

We are now back home and looking forward to what July has to bring!

Eclipse party and 4^th of July both coming up next week!

Maddix had his own seat on the plane..he loved it!

HOUSTON, TX

We first went to Houston. It was HOT!! We had such a great time with everyone there.

They had this great play ground that we went to almost every night, way late becaue it was too hot any other time!

We also went to the Children’s museum...

They have the coolest pool at their apartment complex. We spent everyday here!

Maddix became quite the little dare devil. He is now obsessed with the pool and has NO FEAR! He runs and jumps in and I was left trying to keep up with him and jumping in after him. Let’s just say it was a workout for me!

He now loves to splash, thinks he can swim by himself and loves to jump off the edge of the pool. It was such a blast!

We also went to the park and saw ducks, turtles, and beavers.

Went shopping at the biggest mall ever, and had tons of fun just hanging out!!

Thanks so much Jess, Kelty, and Walker for hanging out with us and keeping us entertained and also for all the yummy dinners!

KANSAS CITY, MO

Next we headed to KC.

We had a little trouble with our flights getting there because of bad weather so by the time we got there it was too late for Eric to go knock so we decided it would be fun to celebrate my birthday early since he would be working on the actual day. So we went to this really cool outdoor mall and shopped. He got me new bedding for our bed, which I love, and also a new wallet, which I was in desperate need of! Then we went to dinner and were just able to hang out, it was such a great day and so nice to be able to spend it together!

I didn’t take a ton of pictures in KC, I think it’s because almost everyone out there was either pregnant or had a tiny baby, but everyday we did something fun.

On Fathers day we loved spending the day with Dad. We got these cute pictures taken (Maddix did not want to do this!) Staci made us the best dinner we’ve had in a long time and then the guys had an intense volleyball game.

We love our daddy!

The next day all the wives that could went to lunch at this great Itialian rest called Bravo (Staci can you send me some of that bread J)

We spent lots of time at the pool and lots of time with all the wives there.

On Tuesday a few of the wives threw a baby shower for the 4 girls that are having babies out there…Staci and Chelsea included me in on that shower. And although it was so not necessary, it was so fun! Thanks girls for a great time!

The next day was my birthday. We went to the pool that morning with Eric before he went to work and then for lunch a few of the wives all went out to lunch! We went to Chili’s, basically so I could have a molten! And it was delicious! Thanks Staci for lunch!

That night we had craft night at one of the girls houses. We made jewelry…I made a few baby braclets for our little girl. Can’t wait for her to wear them.
