Our present this year for Christmas was for the family to take a trip to California for a week.We spent 2 days at Disneyland, went to Sea World, and the Zoo and spent a couple days at the resort. We had such a blast the entire week.
Almost my whole family came, we stayed at my mom and Roger’s timeshare which was amazing.
The kids all had so much fun playing with each other for 7 days straight.
The Beach
We spent the first day at the beach. I wasn’t sure how my kids would react. Maddix loves sand but he’s never been to the ocean. Emery doesn’t like the sandbox at the neighbors so I thought for sure she would hate it. I was so wrong. Maddix took off and ran all the way down the beach and right into the freezing cold water. Emery ran around the beach in the sand and loved every second of it! She would dive in the sand and just run it through her fingers and into her mouth! Maddix played all day in the water and loved playing in sand too.
The next 2 days were spent at Disneyland. It was so fun to see how ecstatic the kids were to be there. All the characters, the rides, the food and more rides, we all couldn’t get enough.Maddix’s favorite ride was Buzz Lightyear and Pirates of the Caribbean. Emery didn’t really react to any of the rides except for Pirates, she was a little scared and hid her face in my arm almost the whole time. Emery didn’t like the characters and was terrified of the princesses.
Then we headed down to San Diego and spent the rest of the week down there. We spent 2 days at the Resort and played in the pool both days, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.We had ice cream sundaes, dinner with all 17 of us every night, and lots of kids being loud and crazy!
We also went to Sea World. Both Maddix and Emery loved it. Emery loved every animal but especially the penguins and the whales. Maddix was obsessed with the whales. Him and Eric sat down in the Splash Zone and loved getting wet.
Then we went to the San Diego Zoo. Emery loves animals so much and was so thrilled to see all the different kinds. They both loved the monkeys and the bears.
