Girls trip!

GiRLs goNe WiLd!

And when I say "girls gone wild" what I really mean is "seven moms who enjoyed a much needed 24 hour break for pampering, shopping, relaxing, eating, and having fun".

We have been saying forever that we wanted to do a girls get-away and we finally did! We left Thursday evening and headed up to Hotel Park City and enjoyed dinner at Ruth's Chris then checked out our amazing hotel rooms where we spent the night.

We had a concierge helping us to our rooms and we asked him to snap a pic for us...well, he struggled. In this pic he cut off Lisa on the far left......

and in this picture he cut of Natalie on the far right...so I had to post both pictures to get us all in

We also rented "The Proposal" and got comfy on this awesome pull out bed...which we ended up breaking because we had all our weight on one end and almost fell into the couch.

In the morning we woke up to this! It was so beautiful up there!

Once we were up we enjoyed some pampering and massages at the spa then we took off up main street for lunch, and then finished off the day with LOTS of shopping. We had so much fun! I can't wait to do it again.

One Busy Month!

This past month has been super crazy.
At the beginning of the month Eric was in Reno doing some work. We received a call that Eric's Oma(grandma) was diagnosed with Leukemia, her prognosis wasn't good and the Dr's gave her about 2 weeks. Maddix and I jumped on a plane and met Eric in California.
Most of you have heard stories about Eric's grandparents and Oma and Opa. His Oma and Opa are two of the most creative people I know. When Eric and I got married we received this beautiful quilt made by Oma. I absolutely love it. Opa's artwork fills our walls and our basement, we don't have enough wall space right now for all of it :)
We were so blessed that we were able to go there when we did. We spent a full weekend visiting with family and many beloved friends of Oma's.
Oma Emma passed away on Tuesday October 6th, just 1 week after her diagnosis. The funeral was the next week and it was just perfect. Eric's mom gave the Eulogy an it was so incredibly sweet, funny, and everything that Oma would have wanted. She will be greatly missed.

After that weekend Maddix and I flew up to Idaho Falls to spend a planned vacation with my family. Maddix was so lucky and even had his own seat on the plane. He played peek a boo with the guy behind him most of the flight!

We had a great week up in Idaho. Maddix learned to walk! Payton turned 4! Watch little Dhylan be such a funny girl, she loves to dance to "Poker face!" And I was able to pick up Kendahl and Payton both from school almost everyday... I love when I get to spend a whole week up there.

Then we drove back to Utah on Friday only to drop Maddix off at Dustin and Lisa's and fly back to California that night. Leaving Maddix was extremely hard for me. I have only been away from him for a max of about 5 hours, I think, maybe less. I knew he would be in great hands and wasn't worried about him at all, I was worried how I would survive not seeing him for a 2 days :)

Cohen & Maddix They boys had their first sleep over last night! They both did so good! This morning we had breakfast and watched our favorite U-Tube cartoons, climbed the stairs, took a bath, and played in the basement! So fun!

Dear Mom & Dad, After naps and lunch we went on a walk and ended up at the park it was so much fun! After going down the slides we had Otter Pops and went exploring! I sure am tired...I'm going to go nap now! Miss you soooo much! Love, Maddix

Fall

I love fall!

I love how the leaves change, how the air feels so crisp, how it is still nice enough to be outside but not so hot, I love football season (I really do!), I love Halloween and Thanksgiving.
The past couple days we have been able to hang with Dustin, Lisa, and Cohen a lot! I love seeing these two little boys interact with each other. I hope they are great friends always! Last night we hiked up to Stewart Falls. It was a great hike and was really pretty. We got home really late but it was worth it!

We also walked down to the Promenade at the park and Holy Cow Botique. I love this wagon and the boys both had so much fun in it.

Got Milk?

Since Maddix turned 1 he has been off breast milk and trying to like regular cows milk. He really doesn't like it and most of the time spits it out. Eric can get him to sometimes drink it at night when he is putting him down but only an ounce or two. So we tried giving it to him in a cup and letting him drink it by himself and he loved it....at least for this day :)
He also had his 1 year check up and is doing great!

Eric and I get the biggest kick out of how easily this little boy laughs!
He seriously has the cutest little chuckle!
