Hawaii!!

Well we just got back from probably one of the best trips we have ever been on...
Eric's work, APX Alarm, just took us to Maui. This was Eric and I's first time to Hawaii. It was beautiful there. The weather was gorgeous, the beach was amazing, and the pineapple was divine...we had such a great time. We stayed at the Grand Wailea Resort which was so fun. The have a ton of pools, great beach access, they have a spa which is amazing...who could ask for more?!

Almost everyday Eric and a ton of the other guys played water volleyball, I played the first day and then after that it got a little too competitive for me :). Eric did a ton in the ocean...and if you don't remember I am a little scared...ok TERRIFIED of the ocean, so I only went snorkeling once. On our snorkeling trip we saw two humpback whales, sea turtles, a barracuda, some sharks, and tons of fish! Eric went spear fishing, with no luck. We also went surfing, which was my favorite thing of the whole trip. It might make me want to move to California...ok not really, but it was so much fun!
We want to thank APX for such an amazing trip, we really had such a nice, relaxing week. THANKS AGAIN!!

More Pictures to come later!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so grateful for this day!
I am grateful for my family. I am grateful for wonderful friends and for the great memories I have with them. I am grateful for Eric and for the wonderful husband that he is. I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life and for the many blessing I have received.
I am grateful that almost all of Eric's family was able to come and spend Thanksgiving with us. We had such a great time. The house has been as full as it will ever be but we've really enjoyed having so much company at our house.
I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Looking Back

This was such a wonderful day for both Eric and I but I can honestly say that each day is even better than the last. Looking forward to many more years together.

Happy Anniversary

On Monday we celebrated our 3 year anniversary. It really doesn't feel like we've been married that long...I know I know it's not really that long :) I am so grateful for Eric and for all the wonderful things he does. He is truly such a great husband and I am so blessed to have him in my life.

For our anniversary I TRIED to surprise Eric by taking him on a trip, he found out the day before I was going to Surprise him :( Oh well...we still had a great time!

We went to San Diego for a long weekend. We went to Sea World, the Beach, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, and a Chargers football game! Eric is a huge Chargers fan and I can now say that I am definitely a Chargers Fan all the way!

Love you babe!

Go Chargers!

The main reason we went to San Diego was to see the Chargers play against the Colts. This was my first professional football game and it was so amazing. First of all the Chargers won! They were not favored to win but they came out strong and held on to their lead...thanks to the Colts kicker who missed a game winning field goal. I didn't get very many pictures during the game because it kept raining on us but that didn't bother us too much. Eric was yelling and cheering so much and so loud that he lost his voice. It was so much fun. We definitely want to do this again!

Yes that's Peyton Manning warming up before the game :)

San Diego Zoo

I love the San Diego Zoo. My favorite part of the zoo are the polar bears. They were so active this time. Two of them were playing with each other under the water. I could have stayed there all day. Eric on the other had could have stayed looking at the Tigers or the Snakes! :)

Just hanging out...

We went to the beach, out to dinner in Old Town, shopped, went to Balboa park and really just enjoyed being with each other. It was so great to get away and spend some quality time with each other.

Sea World

Our first day in San Diego we went to Sea World. I hadn't been there since I was 3...and let's just say I didn't remember much from my first trip. We had such a great time. The best part was during the Sea Lion and Otter show when a little otter carried out a pepsi. Seriously the cutest thing ever!

Tagged!

I was tagged by Amy. It's taken me a while to figure out 7 random things about me. Some things I think people already know about me but oh well!

1. I love mashed potatoes. Seriously love them. I could eat them every meal and have only them and I would be completely satisfied! Maybe it has something to do with growing up in Idaho!

2. While on the subject of food...I love CANDY! As many of you who have been in my house can see I have candy everywhere. Eric hates candy so I guess I am making up for him by eating it by the truck load!

3. I have a twin sister. We aren't identical but most people say we look alike. She is truly my best friend. We are very different from each other. She has such a strong personality, I admire that in her...I'm a little too passive. I know if I were ever in a fight she's who I'd want on my side, she's tough. Not a big girl...just tough! I know I can call her whenever and that she will always be there. I love my sis.

4. I love babies...all babies. I love to hold babies. When a baby cries it is like a challenge to me to get them to stop. I love it when babies fall asleep while I am holding them. I can't wait to have little babies of my own!

5. I also love puppies...they're similar to babies right?! You know that puppy commercial where they sing about the bugs (there ain't no bugs on me)? Every time that commercial comes on it makes me just a little bit happier! If there was a career out there that just dealt with puppies I would do that. Seriously love them!

6. I am deathly afraid of the ocean. I don't mind going in it...up to my ankles but anything deeper and I start to panic. When Eric and I went to the Bahamas last year we went snorkeling. I was literally hyperventilating. I wouldn't let Eric let go of my hand. I don't like not knowing what's swimming around me :)

7. I hate speaking in public. It terrifies me. I can't even give a speech in front of Eric. I seriously hate this more than anything in the whole world...

Thanks Amy for tagging me...it was fun to think of 7 facts about myself!

Happy Halloween!

Last night, after much protesting from me, we decided to dress up. Eric was an extreme mountain biker and I was a hippie! Dustin was a red neck yell leader and Lisa was a prude librarian. Ty and Staci were Nascar Fans!
(If you can't tell Eric is wearing one of my tank tops as well as some of my shorts...HOT!)

Thriller!

Last night we went to the Kingsbury Hall production of Thriller! This is Eric and I's 4th year going. We love it just as much every year as we did the first. It was fun to go with my family. If you haven't been to this you definitely need to go next year.
I love Michael Jackson's Thriller!

Pumpkin Carving!

Last night we had some friends over and we all carved pumpkins. I did a witch and Eric worked really hard on his but he sometimes is a perfectionist and it didn't turn out the way he wanted so he threw it away! It was going to be a portrait of Homer Simpson. I think I'll try to make him attempt another one tonight! Thanks everyone for coming over...

Salmonella?

So I thought I'd share this funny story...

On Friday night I decided that I didn't want to eat Raviolli like I made for Eric so I decided to eat a pot pie...you know those little tiny ones you use to eat when you were a kid?! So I ate it and it was delicious. Later that evening I was over at my friend Megan's house and the news was on. I never watch the news, too depressing. Anyway, on the local news there was a segment on a recall of Banquet brand pot pies because some of them are linked to a SALMONELLA outbreak. Not sure if this was the brand that i had just eaten I went home and looked in my freezer because I knew I had one left...nope gone! My little bro is staying with us and he ate it! So in the garbage lie 2 empty boxes of Banquet chicken pot pies! I can already feel myself getting sick! So I get online and look up to see if there is a batch number or something to tell me if the ones we ate could be infected. YEP...P9 was the code and it was on both our boxes...

So the countdown begins!

Salmonella usually becomes present in the body within 72 hours. I am now currently at 39 hours and symptom free!

Girls Night!

We had a great time last night at Macaroni Grill.
We need to do this more often!
Thanks to all who were able to come...
and for all those who
couldn't make it we expect to see you next time! :)

Payton Turns Two!

This past weekend was my niece Paytons' 2nd birthday! We had so much fun in Idaho and we're so glad that we were able to celebrate with her! When we arrived in Idaho we were welcomed by 3 inches of snow! Can't say I miss those Idaho winters...

Mt. Biking and PAIN!

What do you get when 4 people who haven't rode bikes in awhile decide this is going to be their new hobby?
1. A fun new hobby
2. A night full of fun
3. The enjoyment of watching people learn how to use clicker peddles and then seeing them fall off their bikes because they haven't quite figured them out yet
4. Personally falling off your bike when you aren't even using clicker peddles :)
5. Gaining the knowledge that you aren't in the best shape
6. A few cuts and bruises
7. PAIN the next morning

My Favorite Wall!

Well I finally decided on a color for my accent wall. It actually ended up being a totally different one than I had you all vote on. I ordered a rug that I loved and then based the color off of that. I absolutely love this wall and the rug. Can't wait to get more stuff done in the house!

Diamond Rio

Last night I went to the Diamond Rio concert with my mom and her husband Roger. Roger use to live in Nashville and is good friends with the keyboard/piano player, Dan Truman. (A little fun fact: He is a member of the LDS Church). He also knows all the rest of the guys pretty well. So I was lucky enough to go backstage and meet them all! Thanks Mom and Roger for letting me be the 3rd wheel on your date, I had a great time.
