We had a great Valentines day this year. Our good friends Lauren and Amy put together this amazing dinner and decorated their house so cute! Thanks girls for putting this together. We had a great time!
Maddix is now 5 months and it seems like each day he is learning something new. We had a busy month again, a trip to Cancun, Idaho and lots of amazing milestones! -Rolling over -Eating cereal
-Sleeping in his own room
He rolls over only when he feels like it, he still doesn't like to be on his tummy so that means he doesn't roll over very much! The first couple times he ate cereal he hated it. Now he loves it. He dives for the spoon before I can even get cereal back on it. He has started sleeping in his own room! He has done pretty well, he still wakes up a couple times a night. But usually all I have to do is put his binky back in and then he goes back to sleep. We've had a couple nights where he is up more than he is asleep, those are fun!
We love Maddix so much and are so excited to see all the new things he is learning. We don't want him to get any bigger but we are loving each stage so much!
Being held, this is almost an all day thing. I guess that is my fault, I didn't put him down at all when he was newborn! His silky, best thing ever! He loves his toy that Staci gave him at my shower, it has this ball that he will suck on forever! Loves to play with mommy and daddy Loves to try and get out of his swaddle. He always has his little hands creeping up out of the top when I go and check on him. Loves to laugh and be tickled. His cereal
Maddix Hates: Being on his tummy Getting out of the bath and then having to get dressed We got him a jumperoo and he is terrified of these little ducks on it, whenever he sees them he loses it! Sleeping in past 7:15! I know it's not that early, I would just love to get a little extra sleep! Staying in one place too long, we are constantly on the move!
Playing with his cousins in Idaho
His first experience with cereal
Now he loves it!
His favorite part is when he is done eating I let him play with the spoon!
I was tagged by one of Eric's friends to tell 6 random things about me...
this was a lot harder than I thought it would be!
Some aren't that random, they're just 6 things I could think of.
1. I secretly wish I were pregnant!
Ok hear me out...pregnant, not ready for another child, not the first half of my pregnancy, but pregnant at about 25 weeks! I loved being pregnant. I loved being able to feel that sweet baby moving around. I loved having a huge belly (not so much now!). I loved it, despite all the throwing up, no appetite, and constant pains, LOVED IT!!
2. I just cut my hair, it is the shortest it has been in 10 years!
I definitely needed a change and am now loving my shorter hair.
3. I am obsessed with Lord of the Rings!
I know kinda dorky but I totally love all 3 movies. Eric makes fun of me all the time. When Eric and I were first married we were in Virginia for the summer and didn't have cable, needless to say Eric would come home from work at 10 pm and I would be laying on the floor just finishing 9 hours of heaven!
4. I want to run a marathon (ok, maybe a half marathon) someday.
I wish I had the drive to get in shape but that would require some sleep, which I am not getting!
My sister and I want to run one after we are both done having kids, anyone want to join us?!
5. I really want a Volkswagen beetle, a blue or green convertible one!
Anyone that knew me in high school would know that I was obsessed with these when they first came out, I guess the obsession just hasn't gone away.
Eric says we will never own one, but maybe someday I will just come home with one!
6. Before I had a baby I really wanted twins.
I wanted 2 girls so that they could experience what I did growing up and having a twin. Having your sissy be your best friend, a buddy from birth is priceless. Now that I've had a baby I don't think I want twins anymore, I'm good with one at a time!
