Happy Mother's Day

There never was a woman like her. She was gentle as a dove and brave as a lioness. The memory of my mother and her teachings were, after all, the only capital I had to start life with, and on that capital I have made my way.-- Andrew Jackson.
Today I am grateful for the many "mother's" in my life.
First off my own mom. She is the most wonderful woman that I know. She has always been there for me and I know that she always will. She is a great example of love, compassion, strength, and so much more. She will never know the ends to which she has changed and shaped my life. I am grateful that she is an everyday part of my life, giving me that great example of motherhood to follow after.
Second is Eric's mom. I am so grateful to have such a terrific mother in law. She raised Eric to be such a great man and husband. I will forever be grateful to her for him. She is also a great example to me and to all those she is surrounded by. Thank you for all your love and support that you give to me.
Then there is my sister. She is truly my best friend. I love her more than I could express. I am so thankful for her and for the loving example she is to me.
She has given me 2 of my greatest joys in life, my nieces.

My sister in law Mel is also another example of a great mother.
She has shown me how to raise little boys...something I will need in the near future! I truly love each of those little boys! Then to Lisa...she is "almost" a mother...I think that it counts already! :)
Lisa is expecting her first baby boy in September. She is going to be a great mother. She is kind, loving, sweet, and has so many great qualities that I adore! Can't wait for her to be a mother and to have another little nephew!

And to all Eric and I's grandmothers, Aunts, and cousins who are such great mothers. If I listed all of them and said what I cherished about each it would go on forever! Just know that I am so grateful for each of you and Love you all more than you could know!

And to our many great friends who are mothers. I am so grateful that you are a part of my life and have shown me what it takes to be a great mom and have given me so much needed advice.

I look forward to being a Mother. I am so excited for September when this little baby will join our family!

We have been very lucky with the weather. In Truckee, where we live, it doesn't get any hotter than 85 degrees. So this summer is going to be really nice.
You look great! Can you feel him yet? Any baby names?

Hi, Natalie. I hope you don't think I'm a freaky blog stalker. I just saw your name on Jessica Stevenson's blog, and popped on yours. It's very cute by the way. I just wanted to let you know that your sister-in-law Mel and her husband (I can't remember his name) were in my single's ward. I thought they looked familiar - haven't seen them in so long. Can't believe they have 2 kids! Small world when you're Mormon. Anyway, good luck with your pregnancy. -Erin Gough (Phili office)
