I'm Freaking out... (just a little)

You know how when you have something planned in your head and it doesn't go that way? Well I'm there!
Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment and ultrasound for Baby girl...
Good News: Her Kidneys look great!
Bad News: I still have placenta previa...will be doing another ultrasound in 2 weeks
Crazy/unsure News: I may have gestational diabetes! WHAT THE?!
UPDATE: I DON"T HAVE GESTATIONAL DIABETES! :)
Change of Plans: I now have to deliver at Timpanogos Hospital, I was planning on delivering at AF, which is where I delivered Maddix.

So I need some opinions!
For those of you that have had C-Sections, please tell me your honest opinion. Maddix's delivery was so easy that I am not looking forward to a possible C-Section but it might just be that way...
Also if you delivered at Timp Hospital tell me what you thought of it...I decided I will be doing a walk through of the hospital sometime in the next month
BE HONEST, the good, the bad, whatever, just need some advice/thoughts...like I said, I'm Freaking out!

Well I'm happy to hear about your little girl's kidneys. That's great news. I'm sorry to say I can't give much advice/opinions about either the hospital or c-section. I just all will work out great! And that is crazy about the gestational diabetes! Where did that come from?

nat, i delivered both my babies at timpanogos and i LOVED it. LOVED it. i wouldn't worry about that at all.
hopefully your placenta will move and you won't have to have a csection. that's a bummer.
good luck with everything!

That's good to hear that baby girl is doing good! Hopefully everything else will go well, and you won't need a c-section.

I was actually supposed to deliver at Timp, but our insurance changed, so I delivered at Orem Community instead. However, Mark's sister delivered at Timp, and she had a good experience. So you'll be A-ok at Timp :)

Hope all is going well!! We need to get together asap!! I have belated bday gifts from me and Leah, and your body pillow!!! Seriously, I feel so bad I still have it! Aaaaaaaaaaaa!

Hang in there. I have no advice, just that you can't control everything. You'll do great!

I personally never had a c-section but I will tell you what, with Makenna's labor, I wanted one SO BAD! My cousin wont go any other way when she has her babies. She has had 4 c-sections and a good friend of mine has never had a problem with them either. Good luck. Sorry you had dissappointing news but at least everything else is okay.

When is she due?? Sounds like a lot has been happening! I don't know anything about the hospitals in utah :) but as for c-sections I know everyone has a different experience. For me, my c-section was like a trip to Disneyland!! haha. I only say that because I was in labor for 48 hours prior. I plan on having a c-section with our next one as well. The healing for me was pretty quick, and the only thing I REALLY hated was that I had a lot of swelling...but that was from the labor as well, and it only lasted about a week. When it comes down to it, if a csection is what you have to do to get your little girl here safe, you won't think twice about it. Good luck, I am thinkin about ya!

I hated having a c section and am trying to avoid another one. I honestly think it really depends on how well you heal from things. I heal slowly so the pain I was in afterwards was awful. Hopefully you wont even have to have one! Good luck Nat!

Nat. We have the same insurance so I too was told that Timp was the now preferred hospital. I personally LOVED my OB rotation that I had in the Timp hospital MORE than I like the one at AF. That means nothing because I wasn't a patient, but I will deliver there before you will so I'll be sure to let you know what I think. I promise to have you in my prayers and be there if you need anything. C-sections can be as good an experience as the other, it just all depends. All will work out for the best, hun. We'll see each other soon as both our parents are gone, haha. xoxo.

Glad that you do not have Gestational Diabetes! That is great news! I feel weird saying this on a blog, but oh well. If you have not already, maybe you should get a blessing. I have seen miracles happen (= Keep us posted.

Good news about the diabetes, that would have been hard. Can't believe you have placenta previa. YOu are in my prayers. I know that whatever happens you are gonna have a beautiful healthy baby girl, even if that means a c section. You will do great! Keep us updated when you get your next ultrasound done. Love ya!

You know this already but I had a c section and it honestly felt like no big deal. Of course it would of been nice to just push the babies out but that wasn't in the cards for me'. If you end up having a c section don't be bummed. There wasn't anything you could do. In my opinion it doesn't matter how these lil babies of ours get here... Even if a c section isn't ideal or your first choice it will get your baby girl here safe and sound (and keep momma safe too). I think that's the most important thing anyway. I hope you don't have to have a csection since it obviously isn't your first choice but if you do it's all good! I'll be your c section buddy.

Oh and my sis in laws always have their babies at timpani they love it there. If I didn't have twins I would if delivered there, I will next time. Oh and I will do a c section again next time. I didn't think it took me' that long to heal, I don't remember being sore and I liked having stitches in my tummy instead of my girl parts ;) if u know what I'm sayin

So I didn't have a C-Section with either of mine and, yes, really shallow, but they can offer you a tummy tuck right after the procedure for not that much extra. My friend said it was the best thing EVER!!! Don't know if that makes you feel any better. Also, I ran into one of your high school friends when I was last in Idaho. Do you remember Haley...oh dear, don't know her maiden name(now Potter)?
